Hello all and welcome to my writing blog. After years of reading science fiction and fantasy works, I decided it was time to pursue seeing if I could write anything worth reading. As the time I write this, we are well under way to find out. My first novel, tentatively to be named “Winter of my Youth” is currently at the editor. This first story of Zaaz Bloodfortune is the story of a young woman who someday came to be known as Baba Yaga. Growing up in the far north, Zaaz and her mother must escape from the clutches of the White Witches of Northeim, help their friends, and begin to understand the strange legacy that befell her one day on the beach.
I’ve posted up some of my sample art from the wonderful Jimmie Esker. These are two of the sample cover pages and one other sample symbol. Jimmie tells me he’s doing two more potential covers, so I’ll post them as I get them.
In the coming months I expect to also post samples from the book. If you enjoy them, please feel free to stop back for more and of course please buy the book if you feel it worthwhile. I’d also love to see constructive criticism and story suggestions.
